Director of the Center for New Ideas, PhD in political science. Originally from Hrodna, graduated from the European Humanities University in Political Science. In Sweden, she received two master’s degrees, in political science and journalism, and defended her PhD in political science. Previously, she held the position of researcher at the Center for New Ideas. Alesia worked as an analyst and wrote for Belarus Digest, Atlantic Council. She worked with international projects in the field of human rights protection and election observation, and was the chairwoman of the Belarusians of Sweden organization for three years. In 2022, Alesia became the first Belarusian to receive the Swedish award “European of the Year”. Areas of professional interest: technology development and democratization, protest movements, political technologies.
